Why does the air force and military always deny any UFO sightings?
I’ve been watching some shows on the history channel about UFO’s and it just got me a little curious about it. Why is the air force always trying to cover these things up? Is it like a top secret mission or something that they don’t want people to know? Thanks
I know UFO means unidentified flying object, but what I forgot to mention was I was mainly referring to extraterrestrial life.

They don’t deny UFO sightings, they do not claim to identify UFO’s as alien craft.
well they doubtless do because it would cause chaos in public its easier to just “brush it under the rug”
The aliens have mind-control technology that they are using on our military.
In person, I’m disgusted with the History Channel showing this drivel. It’s as bad as TLC, which once, a long, long time ago, used to stand for The Culture Channel. There’s nothing worth culture on it now.
Because they are imaginary.
so they can cover up their own work.
Let’s look at the possibilities and answers.
If they are trying to point a new experimental aircraft possibly they wouldn’t want the public to know so the information doesn’t reach our enemies. Or they force not really know what it was and are just life truthful instead of trying to publicize rumors. Or it force be something more embarrassing than life labeled a liar.
Don’t put any stock in the little green men theory and that the government is trying to cover it up. There is too much money and fame for anyone to come forward with real evidence. Extraterrestrial visits is a secret too big to keep.
To keep idiots conditioned that aliens and UFO’s don’t exist
When a new President takes office, he is given access to a number of things that are revealed to only a very excellent few. One of these closely guarded secrets, I’m sure, is the documented existence of extraterrestrials.
You’ve heard the expression: “Everywhere there’s smoke, there’s fire”. Well, a result to this should be, “The response is copy to the threat”. After the Roswell incident, many witnesses were threatened with death if they revealed anything. The government moved in there and scared everyone into silence. Now, why would they do that over a “weather balloon”?
I’ve seen UFO’s here in Prague, from my terrace. My friends here concur; we know how a regular (or even military) aircraft can move, but what we’ve seen here is way beyond this. Amazing is the word that most aptly describes what we saw. Millions upon millions of people have seen UFO’s, even former President Jimmy Carter.
The Air Force denies everything because I think our government is waiting a few more decades to prepare us. Possibly, they don’t want to reveal what they know because they are retro-engineering alien technology recovered from crashed space craft (a ordinary Sci Fi theme currently).
UFOs are unidentified flying objects. If you don’t know what it is, then it’s a UFO. As far as aliens, which I’m sure is what you’re really asking about, there’s nothing to deny, since they don’t exist.
The History channel has become the National Enquirer of cable T.V.
For two decades the Air Force conducted an exhaustive investigation of UFO claims, Project Blue Book, and over two decades did not find a single credible claim of extraterrestrial origin.
The enormous distances that would have to be covered and the limits placed on how fast something can travel (less than the speed of light according to Relativity) make the possibility of any meaningful contact between aliens inconceivable.
Walk away from The History Channel and The Art Bell Show and study some physics and astronomy. Culture is good.
Because there are no space aliens visiting earth.
The bordering Star to earth is Proxima Centauri , it is 4.2 Light years from earth, but has no planets.
But even from Proxima Centauri , at the speed of light ( the fastest you can go ) it would take 4.2 years to travel to earth. Actually it would take longer, because it would take time to speed up and slow down.
Now you really think a space alien, is gonna spend 5 or 6 years in a spacecraft to get to earth, and then is just gonna fly almost and not land somewhere and make contact ?
Then fly 5 or 6 years back home ?>>
And because of time dilation, at home, instead of just 10 years passing, 70 years would have passed.
According to my Astronomy book, assuming that there are well over 10,000,000 planets in the Milky Way Galaxy, and the galaxy has existed for about several billion years, if Aliens did exist and could reach Earth, they would have done so and occupied us by now with technology millions, if not billions of years more advanced than us, life that Earth came into existence about halfway through the lifetime of our Milky Way. That life said, by probability 5,000,000 planets are older than our planet and if 0.01 percent of them could have biological capacity and biological evolution leading to gifted lifeforms there would be 500 gifted civilizations older (and possibly more advanced) than ours. There are three main conclusions: 1.) gifted lifeforms only exist on Earth and we are truly alone in the galaxy 2.) No planet will ever have the resources to allow gifted lifeforms to create intergalactic colonies even if they did exist or 3.) Somehow we’ve never been discovered because possibly we’re too far out from other systems, life on one of the “arms” of the Milky Way (it takes 4.2 years traveling at light speed to reach the nearest star to our Sun). In short, if extraterrestrials really have discovered us, they doubtless wouldn’t just be pussyfooting almost for decades with “UFO’s” and would have conquered us by now with technology millions/billions (literally) of years ahead of us. Survival of the fittest.
Because there is a government outside the direct control of any governments and they want to keep the advanced technologies and power to themselves. This however looks to be thankfully not working so much for them as it did. The military industrial complex.
I’m glad someone finally realized the official Air Force’s stand on this topic.
It is just baffling to me as to why people just say something lacking researching the topic, is as if everybody just read every ufo case in history and now have a f u c k i n g opinion, like everybody just became an astrophysicists.
